It has been once said about angling "An employment for idle time, which was not then idly spent." for angling was, after tedious study, "A rest to the mind, a cheer of the spirits, a diverter of sadness, a calmer of unquieted thoughts, a moderator of passions, a procurer of convenedeness; and that it begot habits of peace and patience in those that professed and practised it."
